The Petitioner seeks a Legal Heirship Certificate under Section 2 of Bombay Regulation VIII of 1827 in respect of one Govind Krishna Kanavje, who is said to have died intestate in Ratnagiri, on 25th March 2009. A copy of his death certificate is annexed.

The deceased was survived by the heirs whose names are set out in table below paragraph 4. The deceased had a son Vinod, who died on 25th November 2015. Vinod's heirs are shown in the table as well. Their consent Affidavits are tendered. It is to be noted that the heirs at Sr. Nos. 1(b) and 1(c) are the minors. There is also the 5 July 2016
15-MPT-155-2015.DOC another heir, one Amol Pandurang Kanavje, the deceased's grandson. The consent Affidavits of all heirs are tendered and taken on record.

The Legal Heirship Certificate is required for submission to the Slum Rehabilitation Authority.

No other Petition for a Heirship Certificate, Succession Certificate, Probate or Letters of Administration with or without will annexed has been filed. There is no impediment to the grant of relief.

The petition is made absolute in terms of prayer clause (a) in favour of all the heirs mentioned in the table below paragraph 4 of the Petition.
