The grievance in the Public Interest Litigation is to constructions made, detailed in paragraph 5 of the Petition, stated to be on Government land.

In the reply filed on 15.06.2017 in paragraph 6 it is pleaded that structures on House Nos. 119, 46, 331 and 527 have been demolished. 3.

In the absence of rejoinder we treat that the said structures have been demolished but this would be partial compliance of the law for the reasons this does not cover all the illegal structures constructed on Government land.

We dispose of the Public Interest Litigation filed directing the Collector of the district to ensure that the constructions on Government land referred to in paragraph 5 of the Petition are demolished. 1/2
