The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a male minor, Rahul. He was born on 7th August 2015. His biological mother surrendered him to the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai City II on 28th August 2017. The Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai City has, following the necessary procedures, declared Rahul legally free for adoption.

The adoptive father is a single parent. He was married on 3rd November 2003 but was divorced on 21st December 2012. He has no children of his own. The relevant documents are on record.

The motivation letter from the proposed adoptive parent, the decision of the Adoption Committee and the Affidavit of the Chief Functionary of the Petitioner are all on record. The medical reports of the proposed father and the minor are both normal. 4.

The father works with a private limited company in Chennai since 2006. His monthly gross salary is Rs.1,02,942/-. There is a child care undertaking at page 62 and this says that he has his mother at home and his sister resides immediately next door. He also proposes to avail of a work from home option for three months. 5.

The assessment report of the social worker on the home study recommends the adoption. It says the adoptive parent and his family are entirely positive about the adoption and will welcome the child into their home. The adoptive parent's sister who lives next door has furnished the child security undertaking. The other documents are in order.

I will, having regard to these circumstances, allow the Petition. The Judge's Order is separately signed. 7.

I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare who is unable to attend today, which is on record. 8.

The Registry will get the Petition with all its annexures and all orders, including the signed Judge's Order, scanned. These digital copies are to be preserved. A soft copy may be given to the Advocate

for the Petitioner free of cost on a pen drive provided by the Advocate for the Petitioner for the same. The Registry will ensure that the scan of the Judge's Order is a properly calibrated colour scan.
