This Reference under Section 256(1) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (the Act) relates to Assessment Year 1984-85. 2.

The proceedings leading to the present Reference arises from an order dated 17th December, 1985 passed by the Income Tax Officer, Margaon, Goa. Accordingly, the present Reference relates to the Goa Bench of this Court, in terms of Rule 656 of the Bombay High Court (Original Side) Rules.

The Registry is directed to take appropriate steps to transfer the proceedings pertaining to the present Reference to Goa Bench of this Court forthwith.
