Accepted. The only other heir has consented. Hence, proclamation is dispensed with. The Petition is made returnable forthwith.

The Petitioner seeks a Legal Heirship Certificate under Section 2 of Bombay Regulation VIII of 1827 in respect of one Shobha Sadanand Manjrekar, who is said to have died intestate in Mumbai, where she was ordinarily resident, on 18th May 2007. A copy of her death certificate is annexed. The deceased was survived by the Petitioner and his younger brother. The younger brother has consented. Their names are mentioned in the tabulation below paragraph 4 of the petition. Their father died on 29th August 2007. The mother had no other legal heirs.

During her lifetime, the deceased owned and was in possession of Room No. 1, Sudam Gaikwad Chawl, Siddharth nagar, Vakola Pipe Lime, Santacruz (East), Mumbai 400 055. These premises are now part of Ajay SRA Cooperative Housing Society Limited. Room No. 503 has been allotted to the deceased. The Legal Heirship Certificate is required for the purposes of submission to the Slum Rehabilitation Authorities.

No other Petition for a heirship certificate, succession certificate, probate or letters of administration with or without will annexed has been filed. There is no impediment to the grant of relief.

The Petition is made absolute in terms of prayer clause (a), which reads as under:

"(a) That a Legal Heirship Certificate certifying that 1) Satish Sadanand Manjrekar, the Son and Petitioner herein and 2) Sachin Sadanand Manjrekar, the Son are the only heirs and legal representatives of the deceased under the provisions of Bombay Regulation Act VIII or 1827;" 6.
