2) If such an application is made and received by the Regional Passport Office, the same will be treated as an application for issuance of passport under section 5 of the Passport Act, 1967 and the Regional Passport Officer, Mumbai shall pass an order on such application in terms of sub-sections

We clarify that we have not decided any controversy arising between the parties. The Writ Petition is disposed of.
