The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a female minor, Adhira. She was born on 26th Feburary 2018. Her biological mother surrendered her to the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai Suburban District on 23rd March 2018. She was then given in custody to that institution, St. Catherine's Home, Mumbai. 2.

Following the necessary procedures, the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai City declared the minor legally free for adoption. The decision of the Adoption Committee is on record.

Also on record are an Affidavit of the Chief Functionary of the Petitioner and the Motivation letter from the proposed parents. 3.

The proposed adoptive parents reside in Mysore. They are 35 and 34 years old respectively. They have been married for eight years and have no children of their own.

The health report of the adoptive parents and the minor show no abnormalities.

The adoptive father works as a Marketing Manager with a private limited company in Mysore. His monthly gross salary is Rs. 76,786/-. The adoptive mother is a housewife. The financial documents are in order.

The assessment report with the social worker is positive and recommends the adoption. It shows that the couple has a stable marriage. There is an updated home study report which is also positive.

There is a guardianship undertaking by the brother and sisterin-law of the adoptive father. They also live in Mysore and have agreed and undertaken to look after the minor should the need arise and in case of any mishap.

The documents being in order, I will allow the Petition. The Judge's Order is separately signed.

I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare, which is on record.

10. The Registry will get the Petition with all its annexures and all orders, including the signed Judge's Order, scanned. These digital copies are to be preserved. A soft copy may be given to the Advocate for the Petitioner free of cost on a pen drive provided by the Advocate for the Petitioner for the same. The Registry will ensure that the scan of the Judge's Order is a properly calibrated colour scan.
