The Petitioner seeks a Legal Heirship Certificate Under Section 2 of Bombay Regulation VIII of 1872 in respect of one Sohini Chandrakant Shah, who is said to have died intestate in Mumbai on 20th October 2016. She was ordinarily residing at Parekh Building, 3rd floor, Mama Parmanand Marg, Mumbai 400

The deceased left no Will. No Petition for Probate, Letters of Administration with or without Will annexed or Succession Certificate has been filed.

The Petitioner is the unmarried daughter of the deceased. She has a married sister, Sonali. The husband of the deceased Chandrakant is alive. Both Chandrakant and Sonali have consented to the grant of the Legal Heirship Certificate, which is required inter alia for income tax purposes.

There is no impediment to the grant of relief. The Petition is made absolute in terms of prayer clause (a) in favour of the persons mentioned in the tabulation below paragraph 4 of the Petition, namely, Chandrakant Poonamchand Shah, Sonali Deepam Thanawala and Monali Chandrakant Shah.

All concerned to act on an authenticated copy of this order. 7.
