Petitioners are Indian nationals, who seek to adopt a female minor child Chiara Calista Albert born on 18 th September 2006 and who was an inmate of the Family Service Centre, Mumbai. The minor was initially under guardianship of the petitioners. Pursuant to the order passed in Guardianship Petition No.44 of 2007, that petition came to be allowed and the minor has been residing with the petitioners ever since. The petitioners are 51 and 50 years of age respectively. They have been married for 34 years and have one biological daughter aged 20 years. Albert and have been found suitable to adopt the child, as seen from the Home Study Report. The prospective adoptive parents are financially well placed. The Home Study Report and the Child Study Report have been found acceptable. Well-wishers have also supported the move of the petitioners to take the minor in adoption.

The prospective adoptive mother and the minor Chiara Albert have today appeared before me. Having interacted with them and having perused the petition and having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, I have no hesitation in allowing this petition. Accordingly, I pass the following order :- (i) Petition is made absolute in terms of prayer clauses (a) and (b).

(ii) Judge's Order is signed separately.

(iii) Petition is disposed in the above terms.
