Heard the learned Counsel for the parties.

This is a petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act,1996 (for short 'the Act') whereby the petitioner has prayed for extension of the mandate of the arbitral tribunal for a period of six months to complete the arbitral proceedings and public an award. It is stated that the evidence on behalf of the parties are being recorded, and it is the first extension.

In the circumstances, time to conclude the arbitral proceedings and pronounce an award is extended by six months from today.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs. (G.S.Kulkarni, J.)
