The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a female minor, Durga alias Adya. She was born on 19th April 2015. She was found abandoned by Kurla Railway Police on 8th July 2017. She was admitted to the additional observation home Mankhurd on the same day. Then she was produced before the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai Suburban District and was given to the applicant institution in safe custody. The admission custody order has been tendered and is marked "X" for identification with
today's date, in a compilation along with the blood report of the minor.

Following the necessary procedure, the Child Welfare Committee has declared her legally free for adoption. 3.
The decision of the Adoption Committee and the Affidavit of the social worker of the Petitioner are both on record. The adoptive parents are 45 and 37 years old respectively. They are from Virar (West). They are married for last 12 years. They have no biological children of their own. The motivation letter is on record. 4.
The health report of the minor says that she is energetic. Her development is adequate in some areas but is slightly lagging in others. The adoptive parents have counter signed this report. There own medical reports show no abnormalities. The HIV reports of all three are negative.

The adoptive father is self-employed. His annual income for the Assessment Year for 2017-2018 is Rs.1,90,392/-. His tax returns are on file. The adoptive mother works as an Assistant Manager Finance with the Private Limited Company and has a monthly gross salary of Rs.41,000/-. Her documents are also on record. 6.
I have seen the child care plan letters from the adoptive parents as also the home study report Part I, a self assessment by the adoptive parents. The second part of the home study report by the social worker is positive and recommends the adoption.

There is a child security undertaking by the brother of the adoptive father. He lives in Andheri, Mumbai and has agreed and undertaken to look after the minor should the need arise. 8.
The adoptive parents and the minor are all before me today. 9.
The documents being in order, I will allow the Petition. The Judge's Order is separately signed.
10. I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare, which is on record.
11. The Registry will get the Petition with all its annexures and all orders, including the signed Judge's Order, scanned. These digital copies are to be preserved. A soft copy may be given to the Advocate for the Petitioner free of cost on a pen drive provided by the Advocate for the Petitioner for the same. The Registry will ensure that the scan of the Judge's Order is a properly calibrated colour scan.
