This is a petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 whereby the petitioner has prayed for extension of time to enable the arbitral tribunal to complete the arbitral proceedings and publish an award. It is submitted that the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of final hearing. This is the first extension. 2.

Learned Counsel for the respondent on instructions states that the respondent has no objection for the extension as prayed for. 3.

Having perused the averments in the petition, the mandate of the arbitral tribunal to conclude the arbitral proceedings and publish an award is required to be extended. Accordingly, the petition is granted in terms of prayer clause (a). Ordered accordingly. 4.

Disposed of in the above terms. No costs.
