The Court on 20th December 2023 passed the following order :- "This petition is filed by the Union of India through a Law Firm in the year 2008. None appears for the Petitioners. None had appeared for the Petitioners in the year 2015 as well. It is not clear as to whether this Law Firm still continues to represent the Petitioner - Union of India through the Department of Revenue.

2. Issue Notice to Petitioner No.4 - Chief Commissioner of Income Tax to examine whether the petition still continues to be represented by the said Law Firm or it is to be represented by the panel LGC

As per office report dated 13th February 2024 Petitioner No.4 has been served.

When the case is called out, no one is present on behalf of the Petitioners.

The Petition is thus dismissed for non-prosecution. 5.

Later on Advocate Mr. Ahmed Padela, i/by The Law Point appeared for the Petitioners and mentioned the matter. He submitted that he does not have any instructions. The Petition is thus dismissed for want of instructions.
