In the departmental inquiry proceedings initiated against the petitioner-employee, the respondent-Bank of Baroda has passed the following order imposing punishment:

"Accordingly in exercise of powers conferred upon me under Regulation 7(3) of Bank of Baroda Officer Employees' (Discipline & Appeal) Regulations, 1976, I hereby impose the penalty of "Dismissal from service which shall be disqualification for future employment" on Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Sajjan."

Since the Bank of Baroda-employer had initiated departmental inquiry proceedings and directed imposition of punishment, the same would obviously apply so far as it relates to

Sudhir Rane 907-WP-525-2017.doc the employer i.e. Bank of Baroda. This position is acceptable to the petitioner as well as the respondent-employer. 3.

In view of the clarification as recorded above, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, who is present in the Court, seeks leave to withdraw the petition.

Leave granted. The Writ Petition stands disposed of as withdrawn.
