The learned AGP tenders on record the letter dated 17th March, 2016 issued by the Joint District Registrar, Class-I, Mumbai Suburban District, Bandra which records that the impugned letter dated 24th December, 2013 has been withdrawn for administrative reasons. The letter is taken on record and marked 'A-1' for identification. In view of the withdrawal of the letter, nothing survives in this PIL. We may further clarify that disposal of the PIL will not prevent the State Government from exercising the statutory powers in accordance with law.
