This is a petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 whereby the petitioner has prayed for extension of time for a period of four months, to enable the arbitral tribunal to complete the arbitral proceedings and publish an award. It is submitted that evidence of the parties is concluded, even arguments on behalf of the claimant are also concluded and now it is turn of the respondent to make their arguments. The arbitral tribunal would then close the proceedings for making an award.

Considering the above circumstances, it is in the interest of justice that time to conclude the arbitral proceedings and make an award is extended as prayed for in prayer clause (a). Ordered accordingly. 3.

Disposed of. No costs.
