The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a female minor, Anamika alias Ira. She was born on 3rd September 2017. She was found abandoned at Dharavi. The Dharavi Police took charge of her and produced the infant before Child Welfare Committee Mumbai City II, on 11th September 2017. Anamika was placed in the safe custody of the Petitioner institution by custody memo dated 11th September 2017.

Following the necessary procedure, the Child Welfare Committee declared Anamika legally free for adoption.

The decision of the Adoption Committee is on record along with the Affidavit of the Chief Functionary of the specialised adoption agency.

The adoptive parents reside in Pune. They are 38 and 35 years old respectively. They have been married for 10 years. They have no children of their own.

The health reports of the adoptive parents and child show no abnormalities. The HIV reports for all are negative. 6.
The adoptive father works as a General Manager with INA Bearings India Pvt Ltd. His annual income is over Rs.30 lakhs. The adoptive mother works as consultant with a Private Limited Company with a monthly remuneration of Rs.60,000/- per month. The financial and tax documents are on record. 7.
I have also seen the child care arrangement plan and the two home study reports. The first report, the self assessment by the adoptive parents, is satisfactory. The second report by the social worker in Pune recommends the adoption of a child between the age of three months to one year.

There is a child security undertaking by the sister and the brother-in-law of the adoptive mother. They live in Wadala in Mumbai and they have agreed to look after the minor should the need arise.

The pre-adoption foster care undertaking is also on file.
10. The documents being in order, I will allow the Petition. The Judge's Order is separately signed.
11. I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare, which is on record.
12. The Registry will get the Petition with all its annexures and all orders, including the signed Judge's Order, scanned. These digital copies are to be preserved. A soft copy may be given to the Advocate for the Petitioner free of cost on a pen drive provided by the Advocate for the Petitioner for the same. The Registry will ensure that the scan of the Judge's Order is a properly calibrated colour scan.
