By this petition filed under section 29-A(5) of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner seeks six months extension for continuation of the arbitral proceedings before the learned arbitrator. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the matter is at the evidence stage.

Learned counsel for the respondent has no objection, if the extension is granted. He however, does not admit the allegations made, if any, by the petitioner in this petition against the respondent. The statement made by the learned counsel for the respondent is accepted.

The time to make an award is extended by six months from today. Both the parties are directed to co-operate with each other and also with the learned arbitrator in rendering an award within the extended period. No party shall take any unnecessary adjournment before the learned arbitrator.

The allegations, if any, made by the petitioner against the respondent in this petition are not accepted by the respondent. 5.

The arbitration petition is disposed of in aforesaid terms. No order as to costs.
