The petitioner prays for direction to the Corporation to allow the application for celebrating Ganpati festival. The Counsel for the petitioner submits that for last many years, permission for celebrating Ganpati festival in the premises, which belongs to the Corporation, was being granted. An on-line application was made by the petitioner. However, the petitioner has not received any intimation.

The Counsel for the Corporation, on instructions, submits that on-line application made by the petitioner is rejected and intimation to that effect is given on-line. The application for arranging Moharrum function was also made in respect of the same premises, which came to be rejected 1 / 2

WPL3105_18.doc by an order dated 16.08.2018. Furthermore, from 01.06.2018, the Corporation has started using this premises for Billing Section. Police report is also obtained in respect of the said premises on the basis of the applications filed. The original file is shown to us. 3.

We have perused the report and considered the submissions advanced. In view of the statements made by the Corporation as above, we are not inclined to issue any directions to the Corporation in this respect. Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
