The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a male minor, Snehal. He was born on 1st March 2018. His biological mother surrendered him to the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai Suburban District, on 23rd March 2018. He was then given in custody to Petitioner institution of St. Catherine's Home on that date.

Following the necessary procedures, the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai Suburban District declared the minor legally free for adoption.

The proposed adoptive parents reside in Goa. They are 48 and 46 years old. They have been married for 15 years and have no biological children of their own.

The health report of the adoptive parents and the minor show no abnormalities.

The motivation letter from the proposed parents, the decision of the Adoption Committee and the Affidavit of the Chief Functionary of the Petitioner are all on record. 6.

The adoptive father is a Proprietor of Natekar Natya Kala Bhandar in Mapusa, Goa. His income for the assessment year 201819 is Rs. 3,64,970/-. The adoptive mother is a housewife. The financial documents are in order.

The assessment report with the social worker is positive and recommends the adoption. It shows that the couple is having strong and stable marital life. There is updated home study report which is also positive.

Having regard to the adoptive parents financial status, I have fixed the investment for the minor at Rs. 75,000/-. 9.

There is a guardianship undertaking dated 14th July 2018 by the sister and brother-in-law of the adoptive mother. They live in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra and agree and undertake to look after the

minor should the need arise and in the event of any unforeseen mishap.

10. The documents being in order, I will allow the Petition. The Judge's Order is separately signed.

11. I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare, which is on record.

12. The Registry will get the Petition with all its annexures and all orders, including the signed Judge's Order, scanned. These digital copies are to be preserved. A soft copy may be given to the Advocate for the Petitioner free of cost on a pen drive provided by the Advocate for the Petitioner for the same. The Registry will ensure that the scan of the Judge's Order is a properly calibrated colour scan.
