In this Official Liquidator's Report No. 135 of 2023, on 29th September, 2023, this Court had directed that the claim of a deceased worker Digamber Lad be re-adjudicated in the peculiar facts and circumstances of the case.

Pursuant thereto, the Official Liquidator carried out the necessary exercise and in that light submitted a draft amendment to the OLR itself. It is clear that the Official Liquidator did re-adjudicate the claim and found certain amount payable to the widow of the deceased worker i.e. Ms. Deepa Digamber Lad.

In view of the above, the draft amendment / proposed amendment to the OLR is granted. As a consequence, the prayers in the OLR stand substituted as per the prayers proposed in the draft amendment.

After hearing the learned Counsel for the Official Liquidator and the learned Counsel representing the widow of the deceased worker, the directions sought as per the amended prayers in OLR No. 135 of 2023 are granted in terms of prayer clauses (a), (b) and (c).

It is specifically clarified that the amount payable to 152 workers includes the amount adjudicated as payable to the deceased worker Digamber Lad. The said amount shall be disbursed to the widow of the said worker i.e. Ms. Deepa Digamber Lad. 6.
