Learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.1 tenders a copy of the letter dated 25th September, 2018 addressed by the University Grants Commission to the Under Secretary (FD-III) conveying the sanction to the University Grants Commission for payment of grant of Rs.2,06,500/- towards reimbursement as final installment for the academic year 2018-2019 towards Major Research Project to the Principal, Siddhartha College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai.

Learned senior counsel for the petitioner on instruction 1/3

states that the said amount of Rs.2,06,500/- has not been credited either in the account of Principal, Siddhartha College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai or in the account of the petitioner. Statement is accepted.

Mr.Helekar, learned counsel for the University Grants Commission does not dispute that an amount of Rs.2,06,500/- is payable to the petitioner through Siddhartha College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai.

We accordingly direct the University Grants Commission to credit the said amount of Rs.2,06,500/- in the account of Siddhartha College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai if not credited so far within two weeks from today, without fail. If the amount is already credited to the account of Siddhartha College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai by the University Grants Commission, the University Grants Commission shall inform the Principal of the said College as well as to the petitioner within one week from today with a proof of said credit.

If the amount is already deposited by the University Grants Commission with the said College, the said College is directed to hand over the said amount to the petitioner within one week from today. If the amount is deposited by the University Grants Commissioner with the Siddhartha College of Arts, Science and 2/3

Commerce, Mumbai, upon deposit of the said amount, the Siddhartha College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai shall release the said amount in favour of the petitioner within one week from the said deposit.

The writ petition is disposed of in aforesaid terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
