1] When this matter was placed before us and a request was made to grant relief in terms of prayer clause (a) namely, to quash a provisional attachment order dated 28th September 2010, Annexures B1 to B7 to the petition, Mr. Sonpal appearing on behalf of the respondents has accepted the service and waived notice. He says that this provisional attachment dates back to 6th October 2008 and may have been extended by the order dated 28th September 2010 but being provisional by its very nature it has come to an end.

2] We accept this statement made by Mr. Sonpal. Once the attachment no longer subsists, we do not see any reason to entertain the petition. The writ petition is disposed of. (SMT. BHARATI H. DANGRE, J.) (S. C. DHARMADHIKARI, J.) Chandka
