Mr.Godbole, learned counsel for the petitioners states that the documents which are already submitted by the petitioners initially to MMRDA and thereafter to MHADA would be re-submitted to the Deputy Registrar, Co-operative Societies, MHADA within one week from today. Statement is accepted.

Ms.Shastri, learned Additional Government Pleader tenders a copy of the letter dated 2nd March, 2021 addressed by the Deputy Registrar, Co-operative Societies, MHADA to the learned Additional Government Pleader informing that three societies to be 1/2

24-wp896-20.doc amalgamated shall submit a proposal for amalgamation before the Deputy Registrar, Co-operative Societies, MHADA i.e. respondent no.2. The amalgamation process will be initiated as per prayer clause (a) in Writ Petition No.896 of 2020 and would complete the process as per the provisions of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960 and Rules 1961 within three months from the date of receipt of the amalgamation proposal from them. The statement made in the said letter dated 2nd March, 2021 are accepted. A copy of the said letter is taken on record.

The Deputy Registrar, Co-operative Societies, MHADA, Mumbai City, Eastern Suburb & Konkan Division MHADA is accordingly directed to dispose of the said proposal as per prayer clause (a) within three months from the date of receipt of the proposal along with documents which are proposed to be submitted within one week from today.

The writ petition is disposed of in aforesaid terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
