Petitioner is aggrieved by the order passed by Passport Authorities asking the Petitioner to obtain fresh orders from the Court for renewal of the passport. The learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner has invited our attention to the Order dated 13th March, 2014 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No. 361 of 2014 in Narendra Ambwani vs. Union of India. 2.

In our view, Respondents are bound to follow the directions given by this Court in Order dated 13th March, 2014 passed in 1/2

- 2 - (WP 2563 of 2016) Writ Petition No. 361 of 2014 in Narendra Ambwani vs. Union of India and they ought to have renew the passport of the Petitioner for a period of 10 years. The facts in this case are more or less identical to the facts in Narendra Ambwani (supra.) 3.

Under these circumstances, we direct the Petitioner to apply afresh for renewal of passport and if such an application is made online, the same shall be considered and processed by the passport authorities as expeditiously as possible and, in any case, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the application. The order dated 10th March, 2016 issued by the passport authorities is consequently set aside. With these directions writ petition is disposed of.
