The Affidavit on behalf of the Enforcement Directorate ("ED") is taken on record. It is pointed out that there was a blanket stay by the ED while investigating into Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd ("DHFL"). There is now a clarification in regard to Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd ("UPPCL"). There is an explanation in paragraphs 2, 3 and 4. In paragraph 5 of the Affidavit at page 239, the ED notes that the Slum Rehabilitation Authority ("SRA") had ordered status quo for several projects. But in paragraph 6 it is clarified that the ED has vacated the status quo and 25th April 2023

26-OSWP-3971-2021.DOC only said that any project developed would be subject to ED proceedings. All that the ED seeks is that it be kept informed and not that the project should be stopped.

Mr Reddy states that the SRA will act accordingly. 3.

We would urge all parties to bear in mind the larger public and welfare interest sought to be served by the Maharashtra Slum Areas (Improvement, Clearance and Redevelopment) Act, 1971. 4.

The Affidavit is to be filed in the Registry. 5.

The Petition stands disposed of in these terms but with liberty to the Petitioners and the SRA to apply or to file a fresh Petition if the need arises.
