The Indian Guardianship Petition proposes the adoption/custody of a male minor, Chris. He was born on 15th August 2017. The Respondent is the minor's biological mother. She was an unwed mother. She was unable to take care of the child because of her poor financial condition and for social reasons. The Respondent handed over the child to the Petitioners when the child was three days old. Subsequently, the Petitioner and the Respondent executed an Adoption Deed dated 9th September 2017 before the Notary.

The Birth Certificate of the minor issued by the Municipal Corporation of the City of Thane is on record. 3.
The Petitioners are Indian Nationals and reside at Mahim, Mumbai. They are 42 and 47 years old. They have been married for three years and have no biological children of their own. 4.
The medical report of the child is taken on record and marked "X" for identification with today's date. The report states that the minor is mentally and physically fit. All her development milestones are appropriate for her age. The health report of the adoptive parents and the minor show no abnormalities.

The 1st Petitioner is an Accounts Officer with TCPL Packaging Ltd., Lower Parel, Mumbai. His monthly gross salary is Rs. 44,829/-. The 2nd Petitioner is an Assistant Leader, Nursing Services with P. D. Hinduja National Hospital, Mahim. Her monthly gross salary is Rs. 66, 402.26/-. The financial documents are in order.

The notarised undertaking dated 18th September 2018, by the elder sister Mrs Sharmila Parshuram Sathe and brother-in-law Mr Parshuram Bandhu Sathe, of the 2nd Petitioner residing at Wadala, Mumbai to look after the proposed minor in case of any mishap to the Petitioners is on record.

The documents being in order, I will allow the Petition. The Judge's Order is separately signed.

I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare, which is on record.

The Registry will get the Petition with all its annexures and all orders, including the signed Judge's Order, scanned. These digital copies are to be preserved. A soft copy may be given to the Advocate for the Petitioner free of cost on a pen drive provided by the Advocate for the Petitioner for the same. The Registry will ensure that the scan of the Judge's Order is a properly calibrated colour scan.
10. Authenticated or certified copies of this order and the entire Petition may be given to the minor on his application after he attains the age of 18.
