1) The respondents have filed affidavit-in-reply. It is stated that in view of subsequent circular issued by the Union of India, Department can pass appropriate order and direction from this Court is not necessary. The only relief claimed by the petitioner is that her place of birth be shown as 'Kanodar, Taluka Palanpur, District Banaskantha, Gujarat' instead of Mumbai.

2) The petitioner shall file a fresh application for change of place of birth for Passport along with necessary documents. If

2 /2 19-wp-1621-16.doc such an application is made, the same shall be processed in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and in any case, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the application from the petitioner. The petition is disposed of accordingly.
