1.

The petitioner-Asha Sadan, a registered child care institute and a specialized adoption agency, proposes to grant in adoption a minor male child Gaurav, aged about 5 months as on date of the petition, to the prospective adoptive parents, who are the co-petitioners. The Child Welfare Committee has declared the minor free for adoption on 17 th August 2021 and that the prospective adoptive parents, residents of Bangalore, are both said to be wellsettled. The prospective adoptive father is 38 years of age and so is the 1/3

mother. They have one biological daughter born on 9 th March 2015. The prospective adoptive parents are both employed. Their income records are on record and are found to be satisfactory. The minor is presently in preadoptive foster care with the prospective adoptive parents, who have both executed necessary consent, willingness and their readiness to adopt the minor and bring up the child as their own.

2.

The Home Study Report is found to be suitable. There are recommendations from friends and family in support of the adoption. The Child Study Report is also found to be acceptable. Child Security Undertaking has been provided by the brother and the sister-in-law of the prospective adoptive father. The said persons are also residents of Bangalore and overall, the facts revealed that the adoption should proceed. In these circumstances, I have no hesitation in allowing this petition. Accordingly, I pass the following order :- (i) The petition is made absolute in terms of prayer clauses (a) to (e).

(ii) The prospective adoptive parents shall invest a sum of Rs.3,00,000/- in the name of the child in LIC's Single Endowment Plan No.917 for 18 years. No loan shall be taken on the policy. The petitioner shall file evidence of this fact having been communicated to the LIC in the registry.

2/3

(iii) The prospective adoptive parents shall ensure that investments in the name of both the biological child and the adoptive child are maintained on parity.

(iv) Undertakings are accepted (v) Judge's Order is signed separately.

(vi) The petition is disposed in the above terms.
