The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a female minor, Veda. She was born on 19th March 2018. Her biological parents surrendered her to the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai City II on 26th March 2018. She was then given in custody to the Applicant institution, Bal Asha Trust, Mumbai. The prospective adoptive parents took the minor in pre-adoption foster
care pending the adoption order of the Court. The Pre-adoption foster care undertaking dated 20th August 2018 is on record. 2.
The Child Welfare Committee declared the child legally free for adoption on 13th June 2018.

The proposed adoptive parents are Indian Nationals and are residing at Kalwa, Thane. They are 37 and 36 years old. They have been married for 13 years. They have no biological children. The motivation letter by the prospective adoptive parents is on record. 4.
The medical report of the minor shows that she is developmentally normal. Her BERA shows mild elevation of hearing threshold, which is not permanent and will reduce over the age. The prospective adoptive parents have countersigned the medical report. The medical report of the adoptive parents do not show any abnormalities or any adverse condition. The HIV reports for all are negative.

The prospective adoptive father is working as a Service Advisor with Carkraft Auto and Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, Mulund, Mumbai. His monthly gross salary is Rs. 45,247/-. The prospective adoptive mother is a housewife.

The home study report is positive and recommends the adoption.

Having regard to the adoptive parents financial status, I have fixed the investment for the minor at Rs. 80,000/-. 8.
There is child security undertaking given by the sister, one Akshata Ashok Babar and brother-in-law, one Ashok Babar of the prospective adoptive father. They reside at Kalwa, Thane and have agreed and undertaken to look after the minor in the event of any mishap.

The proposed change of name from 'Veda' to 'Saachi Sachin Varadkar' is approved.

The undertaking report by the authorities of Vatsalya Trust, Mumbai is on record.

The documents being in order, I will allow the Petition. The Judge's Order is separately signed.

I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare, which is on record.

The Registry will get the Petition with all its annexures and all orders, including the signed Judge's Order, scanned. These digital copies are to be preserved. A soft copy may be given to the Advocate for the Petitioner free of cost on a pen drive provided by the Advocate for the Petitioner for the same. The Registry will ensure
that the scan of the Judge's Order is a properly calibrated colour scan.

Authenticated or certified copies of this order and the entire Petition may be given to the minor on his application after she attains the age of 18.
