The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a female minor, Shravani. She was born on 11th June 2017. The child was found abandoned by the Marine Drive Police Station and produced before the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai City I on 29th July 2017. The Child Welfare Committee gave the Petitioner institution the custody of the child on 31st July 2017. The prospective adoptive parents took the minor in pre-adoption foster
care pending the adoption order of the Court. The Pre-adoption foster care undertaking dated 25th September 2018 is on record. 2.
The Child Welfare Committee after following necessary procedures, declared the child legally free for adoption. The motivation letter, joint consent, willingness and undertaking by the adoptive parents are on record.

The proposed adoptive parents are Indian Nationals and are residing at Kalyan, Dist. Thane. They are 37 and 34 years old. They have been married for 13 years. They have one biological son Subinoy. He is 7 years old. His birth certificate, medical report and consent is on record.

The medical reports of the minor are on record. The report states that the minor is mentally and physically fit. The adoptive parents have countersigned these reports. The medical report of the adoptive parents do not show any abnormalities or any adverse condition. The HIV reports for all are negative. 5.
The adoptive father is a Manager-settlement with Euronet Services India Private Limited, Mumbai. His monthly gross salary is Rs. 78,407/-. The adoptive mother is a Branch Manager with Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd., Thane. Her monthly gross salary is 56,354/-. 6.
The home study report is positive and recommends the adoption. It shows that the couple have a strong and stable marital life. The Child Care Arrangement plan undertaking is on record.

The child security undertaking by the brother, one Sumit Eknath Chalke and sister-in-law, one Pradnya Sumit Chalke of the adoptive mother is on record. They reside at Dombivali and agree and undertake to look after the minor in the event of any mishap. 8.
The proposed change of name from 'Shravani' to 'Shubani Abhijit Sadhu' is approved.

Having regard to the adoptive parents financial status, I have fixed the investment for the minor at Rs. 60,000/-.
10. The follow up report undertaking by the authorities of Janani Ashish Charitable Trust, Dombivali is on record.
11. The documents being in order, I will allow the Petition. The Judge's Order is separately signed.
12. I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare, which is on record.
13. The Registry will get the Petition with all its annexures and all orders, including the signed Judge's Order, scanned. These digital copies are to be preserved. A soft copy may be given to the Advocate for the Petitioner free of cost on a pen drive provided by the Advocate for the Petitioner for the same. The Registry will ensure that the scan of the Judge's Order is a properly calibrated colour scan.
14. Authenticated or certified copies of this order and the entire Petition may be given to the minor on his application after she attains the age of 18.
