The petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. The respondent is served and is represented It consents through its advocates.

The arbitral mandate ended very recently on 25th November 2019. The learned sole arbitrator, Ms Kainaz Irani, entered upon the reference to her arbitration on 23rd November 2017. There was a previous extension. The cross-examination of the petitioner's sole witness is complete. The respondent's only witness is to be examined and is nearing completion.

In these circumstances, there is no impediment to the grant of relief. There is no occasion to impose any terms and conditions on either side.
