This is a petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (for short, "the Act") whereby the petitioner has prayed for extension of mandate of the arbitral tribunal which is stated to have expired on 24 December, 2021.

Considering the orders passed by this Court in a batch of petitions in ICATCH Communications India Limited Vs. The Divisional Manager / Authorized Personnel & Anr. [Arbitration Petition (L.) No.381 of 2020] as also considering the facts that the arbitral proceedings are at a the stage of recording the evidence of the last witness of the claimant, the petition would be required to be allowed. The mandate of the arbitral tribunal is extended upto 31 December, 2022.

The parties shall co-operate in the early disposal of the arbitral proceedings so that a need for further extension does not arise. 4.

All contentions of the parties are expressly kept open. 5.

Disposed of in the above terms. No costs.
