The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a male minor, Praful. He was born on 10th April 2018. His biological mother surrendered him to the Child Welfare Committee, Suburban District, Mumbai on 20th April 2018. He was then given in custody to the Petitioner institution, St. Catherine's Home, Mumbai. The prospective adoptive parents took the minor in pre-adoption foster

care pending the adoption order of the Court. The Pre-adoption foster care undertaking dated 18th August 2018 is on record. 2.

The Child Welfare Committee declared the child legally free for adoption on 13th July 2018.

The proposed adoptive parents are Indian Nationals and are residing at Dombivali, Thane. They are 42 and 37 years old. They have been married for eight years. They have no biological children. The motivation letter by the adoptive parents is on record. 4.

The medical reports of the minor are on record. The reports show no abnormalities. The health report of the adoptive parents also show no abnormalities. The medical report of the adoptive parents do not show any abnormalities or any adverse condition. The HIV reports for all are negative.

The adoptive father is working as an Administrative Officer with Manik Machinery Manufacturers Pvt. Ltd. His monthly gross salary is Rs. 16,810/-. The adoptive mother is working as a Sr. Branch Assistant with Bluechip Corporate Investment Centre Ltd. Her monthly gross salary is Rs. 26,520/-.

The home study report is positive and recommends the adoption. It shows that the couple have a strong and stable marital life.

The child care plan and undertaking by the relative is taken on record and marked 'X' for identification with today's date.

There is a guardianship undertaking by brother and sister-inlaw of the adoptive mother. They reside at Dombivali and have agreed and undertaken to look after the minor in the event of any mishap.

The proposed change of name from 'Praful' to 'Arnav Rajesh Bagwe' is approved.

10. The documents being in order, I will allow the Petition. The Judge's Order is separately signed.

11. I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare, which is on record.

12. The Registry will get the Petition with all its annexures and all orders, including the signed Judge's Order, scanned. These digital copies are to be preserved. A soft copy may be given to the Advocate for the Petitioner free of cost on a pen drive provided by the Advocate for the Petitioner for the same. The Registry will ensure that the scan of the Judge's Order is a properly calibrated colour scan.

13. Authenticated or certified copies of this order and the entire Petition may be given to the minor on his application after he attains the age of 18.
