The Petition is for leave under Clause XII of the Letters Patent. The Suit is filed against the Respondents seeking declaration of copyrights in respect of Film title "CHANDI" (Bhojpuri) as per the agreement dated 3rd March, 2015. The agreement has been signed and executed between the parties at Mumbai. The Respondent No.1 is only having its office at New Delhi. I am satisfied that a material part of cause of action has arisen within the jurisdiction of this Court and as leave is to be granted under Clause XII of the Letters Patent, this Court will have jurisdiction to entertain and try the Suit.
