The Petitioner seeks a legal heirship certificate under Section 2 of Bombay Regulation VIII of 1827 in respect of one Jayprakash Indrabali Pandey, who is said to have died intestate in Uttar Pradesh, on 12th May 2010. However, at the time of his death the deceased was a resident of Kandivali (East), Mumbai. A copy of his death certificate is annexed.

The names of the heirs of the deceased are set out in paragraph 2 of the petition. The Petitioner's wife died before him. At the time of the deceased's death, his only surviving heirs were his son (the Petitioner) and his daughter. The Petitioner left no Will or testamentary writing.

The Legal Heirship Certificate is required for the purpose of transferring a permit to his name.

A proclamation has been issued. None have come forward. No other petition for a heirship certificate, succession certificate, probate or letters of administration with or without will annexed has been filed. There is no impediment to the grant of relief. 5.
The petition is made absolute. A legal heirship certificate will be issued in the names of the persons mentioned below paragraph 2 of the petition, namely, Krishnakumar Jayprakash Pandey and Smt. Suman Mukesh Pandey.
