The Petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. The Petitioner and the Respondents had a partnership agreement dated 14th July 1997. That agreement had an arbitration clause. Disputes arose between the parties. The Petitioner gave notice of dissolution of the partnership. In March 2016, on an application made to it, the Court appointed Mr Vishal Kanade, learned Advocate of this Court, as the sole arbitrator. The learned Arbitrator entered upon the reference to his arbitration shortly thereafter.

Before the Arbitrator, the matter proceeded. He made an interim award. In the main claim, the matter has reached the stage 13th January 2020

22-ARBP1578-19.DOC of evidence. Cross-examination of the claimant's witness is pending. By an order dated 26th November 2018, this Court extended the time of the arbitral mandate by six months. That period ended on 26th May 2019.

Having regard to these circumstances, I will extend time till 22nd December 2020 to complete the arbitration. 4.

The Petition is disposed of accordingly.
