After the petition was heard for sometime, Mr. Sridharan sought leave of the court to withdraw the petition with liberty to raise all the points in the personal hearing that will be granted by the Assessing Officer. Keeping open all rights and contentions, petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

Petitioner may raise all points including questioning the validity of the notice that has been issued before the Assessing Officer who may pass such orders as he deems fit.

We would only clarify that we have not made any observations on the merits of the matter.
