Heard learned counsel for the applicants (original petitioners). By this application, the applicants are seeking post-grant amendment of letters of administration granted by this Court on 29.10.2017. 2.

It is submitted that after the grant was issued, the applicants noticed that there were discrepancies in describing immovable property at Sr. No.1 in the schedule to the original petition and that certain details were required to be incorporated.

It is brought to the notice of this Court that after the grant was issued, the mother of the applicants, expired. Copy of her death certificate is annexed to the application and the applicants are the only surviving legal heirs of their mother. It is also brought to the notice of this Court that the original petition was an uncontested proceeding. Proposed amendment is at Exhibit C to the application.

In the light of the material placed on record, the application deserves to be allowed in the interest of justice.

Accordingly, the application is allowed in terms of prayer clause (a). The amendment be carried out within three weeks from today. Reverification is dispensed with. Department to take consequential steps in the matter.
