The petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. The parties entered into four Service Contracts dated 8th June 2009, 28th January 2010 and 26th April 2012 which provided for arbitration at Clause 14. Disputes arose between the parties. By an order dated 23rd April 2018, the Court appointed Mr Arif Bookwala, Senior Advocate as the sole arbitrator by mutual consent. The learned Arbitrator entered upon the reference to his arbitration shortly thereafter. 30th January 2020

Before the tribunal, the matter proceeded. The original arbitral mandate ended on 15th June 2019. By mutual consent, the parties agreed to an extension of six months. The extended mandate ended on 15th December 2019.

The arbitral proceedings have reached the stage of framing issues.

Having regard to these circumstances, I am extending the arbitral mandate from 15th December 2019 until 30th January 2021 to complete the arbitral proceedings.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
