The Petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. Disputes arose between the parties under a Development Agreement dated 16th January 2006, containing an arbitration clause. By an order dated 13th April 2018, the Court appointed Mr Karan Bhosale, learned Advocate of this Court as the sole arbitrator. The learned Arbitrator entered upon the reference to his arbitration shortly thereafter.

Before the Arbitrator, the matter proceeded. The proceedings have only been adjourned due to medical reasons. Statements of claim and defence have been filed. Issues have been framed. The 13th January 2020

25-ARBP1522-19.DOC cross examination of witnesses of the petitioner have been completed and extensive documentary evidence has been filed. However, the cross examination of the sole witness of the respondent, final arguments and passing of the award remain to be completed.

Parties agreed to an initial extension of six months. The extended arbitral mandate ended on on 10th December 2019. 4.

Having regard to these circumstances, I will extend time till 31st July 2020 to complete the arbitration.

The Petition is disposed of accordingly.
