The Indian Adoption Petition proposes the adoption of a female minor, Avani. She was born on 25th February 2018. Her biological mother surrendered her to the Child Welfare Committee, Mumbai City on 2nd May 2018. She was then given in custody to the Petitioner institution, Family Service Centre, Colaba, Mumbai. The prospective adoptive parents took the minor in pre-adoption
foster care pending the adoption order of the Court. The Preadoption foster care undertaking dated 18th August 2018 is on record.

The Child Welfare Committee declared the child legally free for adoption on 4th July 2018.

The proposed adoptive parents are Indian Nationals and are residing at Kondhwa, Pune. They are 46 and 41 years old. They have been married for 17 years. They have no biological children. The motivation letter by the adoptive parents is on record. 4.
The medical reports of the minor are on record. The reports show no abnormalities. The health report of the adoptive parents also show no abnormalities. The HIV reports for all are negative. 5.
The adoptive father is working as an Assistant General Manager-Finance & Administration with Optienergy Solutions Private Limited, Pune. His monthly gross salary is Rs. 50,000/-. The adoptive mother is working as an Assistant Teacher in the Primary Section at the Kroot Memorial School, Pune. Her monthly gross salary is Rs. 25,412/-.

The home study report is positive and recommends the adoption. It shows that the couple has a strong and stable marital life.

The child care plan declarations by the prospective adoptive mother and her mother-in-law are on record.

There is a child security undertaking by the sister and brother-in-law of the adoptive mother. They reside at Bhyandar West, Thane and have agreed and undertaken to look after the minor in the event of any mishap.

The proposed change of name from 'Avani' to 'Kaira Stanley Fernandes' is approved.
10. The documents being in order, I will allow the Petition. The Judge's Order is separately signed.
11. I have seen the scrutiny report presented by Mr O Hareendran, Scrutiny Officer of the Indian Council of Social Welfare, which is on record.
12. The Registry will get the Petition with all its annexures and all orders, including the signed Judge's Order, scanned. These digital copies are to be preserved. A soft copy may be given to the Advocate for the Petitioner free of cost on a pen drive provided by the Advocate for the Petitioner for the same. The Registry will ensure that the scan of the Judge's Order is a properly calibrated colour scan.
13. Authenticated or certified copies of this order and the entire Petition may be given to the minor on her application after she attains the age of 18.
