The Petitioners seek a Legal Heirship Certificate under Section 2 of Bombay Regulation VIII of 1827 in respect of one Prem Lachman Hasija, who is said to have died intestate in Mumbai, where he was ordinarily resident, on 30th November 2014. He was survived by his two daughters Rachana and Kaveeta, the two Petitioners and by his 87 years old mother, Hari. 2.

The deceased's mother is represented in Court. The Legal Heirship Certificate is required for the purposes of dealing with the deceased's estate.

No other Petition for a heirship certificate, succession certificate, probate or letters of administration with or without will annexed has been filed. There is no impediment to the grant of relief.

It is clarified that the Legal Heirship Certificate in respect of the deceased will be issued in favour of the two Petitioners and the deceased's mother Hari Lachman Hasija.
