The petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. The parties who were partners in M/s Disha Realtors, a partnership firm, entered into a Deed of Dissolution dated 19th June 2014 read with the Deed of Retirement dated 11th March 2014 which contains the Arbitration clause at clause 16. Disputes arose between the parties. By an order dated 29th November 2017 read with the order dated 14th November 2017 of this court, Mr Cyrus Ardeshir, learned Advocate of this court was appointed as the sole arbitrator by mutual consent of the parties. The learned Arbitrator entered upon the reference to his arbitration shortly thereafter.

Before the arbitrator, the matter proceeded. The arbitral mandate ended on 12th June 2019. This Court then granted an extension of time until 12th December 2019 vide order dated 19th September 2019.

The final hearings have concluded and only the award remains to be passed.

Having regard to these circumstances, I am extending the arbitral mandate till 30th August 2020 to complete the arbitral proceedings.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
