By this petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner is seeking extension of the mandate of the learned arbitrator, which expired on 28th February, 2020.

Thereafter, the covid-19 pandemic struck the nation, leading to the hearings not taking place before the learned arbitrator. 3.

The Respondents appeared through Counsel and gave consent to the prayer made in the present petition. 4.

This Court has perused that the contents of the present petition and sufficient grounds are made out for seeking extension of the mandate of the learned arbitrator.

This Court is informed that the proceedings are at the Shrikant

904.CARBP.413.2022.doc stage of recording of evidence of the respondents. Therefore, the mandate of the learned arbitrator is extended by a period of six months from today.
