Yesterday, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioners stated that the Petition can be disposed of by directing the State Government to decide the Appeal, a copy of which is annexed to the Exhibit-P to the Petition. Though time was granted to the learned AGP to take instructions regarding the status of the said Appeal, he has not received any instructions. Hence, we pass the following order:

ORDER :

(a) We direct the Petitioners or their representative to remain present before the Principal Secretary, Urban Development Department on 14th July 2017 at 3.00 p.m.;

(b) The authorized representative of the Petitioners shall produce an office copy of the Appeal (Exhibit-P to the Petition) on that date along with an authenticated copy of this order;

(c) If Appeal is already disposed of, a copy of the order passed thereon shall be supplied to the Petitioners or their authorized representative within a period of one week from 14th July 2017;

(d) If the Appeal is pending, the same shall be heard and decided as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of two months from 14th July 2017. A copy of the order passed on the Appeal shall be supplied to the Petitioners or their authorized representative;

(e) The Petition is disposed of on above terms;

(f) All contentions on merits are kept open.
