Heard.

The petitioners were working as Lecturers in Jr. College in various subjects since 1995 and their appointments were approved by the Dy Director of Education. The petitioners were paid salary regularly from salary grants. Suddenly, without any notice to the petitioners and without affording any opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, the approval granted in favour of the petitioners in 1995 were cancelled by the impugned order dated 20.09.2003. We have no hesitation to allow this petition in terms of following order:-

The impugned order is set aside.

ii.

Respondent No.2-Dy. Director of Education, shall hear the petitioners before passing fresh orders about cancellation of the approval granted to their appointments. Until he passes orders and four weeks thereafter, interim relief granted in this petition in terms of prayer clause (B) and (D) shall continue. 2.

The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of. Rule made absolute accordingly.
