This petition can be disposed of in view of the affidavit-inreply filed on behalf of Respondent No.2. It is recorded in the affidavit that the draft award under Section 28A of the Land Acquisition Act has been prepared and forwarded to the District Collector for approval. It is undertaken to finalize the draft award immediately after receipt of approval/sanction from the District Collector. Considering the affidavit tendered on behalf of Respondent No.2, we direct Respondents No.1 and 2 to finalize the award and declare the same as expeditiously as possible, preferably within two months from today. On declaration of award, Respondent No.3-acquiring body shall make payment of amount so determined under the award, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months. With the directions as above, writ petition stands disposed of.
