The State Government has moved this Civil Application for seeking six months extension to complete the enquiry as was directed by this Court vide order dated 26.06.2023.

The original Petitioner was directed to deposit Rs.7,56,232/- even before an enquiry was commenced on a spacious plea that he is guilty. By order of this Court, we had directed that the Petitioner would receive provisional pension and equities were balanced by directing him to deposit Rs.3,50,000/- in this Court.

The learned Advocate for the Petitioner opposes the Civil Application contending that whole exercise of enquiry is being initiated after his retirement.

In view of the above, this Civil Application is partly allowed by granting extension, as a last chance, only till 31.03.2024. Compliance report shall be placed before this Court on 05.04.2024. All contentions of the parties are kept open and the Petitioner is at liberty to avail of the remedy as is permissible in law, if he is aggrieved by the outcome of the enquiry. kps (Y. G.
