Rule. Rule returnable forthwith. With the consent of the parties, the petition is taken up for final hearing.

Mr.Patil, learned A.G.P waives notice.

Mr.Bolkar, learned counsel submits that the SDO has rejected the application of the petitioner for issuance of caste certificate against which the petitioner has filed an appeal before the Committee in December, 2014. The same is not yet decided.

Mr.Patil, learned A.G.P states that in case the same is pending,the committee will decide it within three (3) months.

In light of that, we pass the following
3 W.P.No.2792/16 order :
a) In case appeal filed by the petitioner (Exh.H) is pending with the Committee, the Committee shall decide the same on its own merits expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within three (3) months.
b) The Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
